My cat is a messy eater, and the raised edge catches all the splashes and kibble that used to end up on my floor. It wipes clean in seconds, and the silicone surface hasn't budged an inch even when he gets excited and pushes his bowl around.
The non-slip backing is rock solid, so my cat can shove his bowl around without the mat budging an inch. It's also a breeze to wipe down after his wet food splatters, and the raised lip catches the crumbs before they hit the tile.
The raised edge finally means I’m not wiping food sludge off the floor three times a day, and the silicone base stays put even when my cat gets dramatic with her bowl. Cleans up in one quick rinse, too.
